San Fermin Press, the publisher of The Whirlwind Series, an adventure, mystery, thriller by Donald Towner, is a publisher of electronic literature, eBooks as they are called.  We publish both fiction and non-fiction.  We are not a vanity press.  We are ePublishers.  We are legitimate publishers who operate exclusively in electronic media, eBooks.

Why?  Because electronic media and eBook publishing is the way of the future.  Think, no more trees used for paper, no toxic chemicals released, no distribution costs - just the written word appearing as if by magic on your book reader or computer screen.

Why?  Because there are no costs for paper, glue, binding, printing and distribution, the current major cost of publishing a book is eliminated.  That means that the savings can be passed on to the consumer, the reader, and the increase in profit can be passed on to the author.

Instead of the reader paying $15 - $35 for a book, the reader pays $3 - $5.  Instead of the author receiving $1 per book, he or she receives $2 - $3.50.

If you are an author, this is the way to by-pass agents, editors and publishers, the people who drain profit from the enterprise.  You can become a published author within days, not months or years.  If your book sells, and there is no guarantee that it will, you have automatically enhanced your access to paper publishing.  Check below for submission guidelines.

We no longer  sell on eBay, the largest single marketplace in the world because they have banished us for selling a product that does not pollute the planet.  Yes, we can no longer sell on eBay because our product is "digitally transmitted".  That means that we transmit our novels direct to you to read either directly from your PC or from an eBook reader.  eBay feels that this will somehow harm their feedback system.  Obviously, this is ridiculous as we are a legitimate publisher, but what can you do against the monopoly.  Until eBay sees the error of its ways (and since we cannot afford a restraint of trade suit), we will sell directly from this site, which we have never done before.

Authors:

We are no longer accepting manuscripts because of eBays UNJUST suspension.  This used to be what we required for publication.  Since we are barred from the biggest marketplace in the world, we cannot, in good conscience, consider further work.

We work only in Word.  We accept submissions only in Word.  We accept fees, if any, only on PayPal.  We forward earnings only on PayPal.  We are currently only selling through this web site as eBay has refused to accept digitally transmitted novels as a valid product.  We deliver only by eMail.  That being said:

For us to consider your work and sell through our site, we first need: 

A bio and a query letter.  Since we are not a vanity press, we have the right to discontinue the publishing process at any time.  Upon receipt of your bio and synopsis of the work you would like us to consider, we MAY ask you to submit your work in its entirety.  Within approximately two weeks, we will either accept or reject your work or accept your work conditionally based on editing required.

We offer, for a small fee, cover art (yes, I know, there really is no book, but you need something for your wall and we need the picture for advertising).

Fees for editing vary from $0 to $3 per page.  If editing is needed we will provide a quote for the service, HOWEVER ... we strongly suggest you, the author do the editing.  We can provide some assistance in this.

We are currently looking for fiction and non fiction in the following categories:

action novels, conspiracy books, the devil, religion conspiracy, conspiracy theories, conspiracies, esoteric christianity, hermetic thought, esoteric religion, esoteric spirituality, secret knowledge, global jihad, holy blood holy grail themes, rennes-le-chateau, rosslyn chapel, merovingian kings and all that stuff. And maybe a book about a dog called Max.

How to get started:

Send two dollars (yes, only $2) to our sales agent, via PayPal, to SanFerminPress@aol.com with the message, "For Submission Guide".

For this you will receive, by e-mail, a brief packet, the Submission Guide, outlining:

• Formats to be used in the interest letter, synopsis, bio and the text of your work (and samples).


• Author compensation schedules.


• Publisher's commissions.


• Samples of cover art.


• The names of a trusted professional editors (not connected with us) and a way to find others.


• Information on copyright law and requirements and ways to reduce the expense.


• Suggestions for your own web site (your expense, if you want one) to be linked to San Fermin Press.

Then, after you receive the packet by e-mail:

• Write the interest letter and e-mail it to us at SanFerminPress@aol.com.  Attach your bio.


• Wait.  We will contact you within three business days with either an acceptance or rejection e-mail.


• The two dollars you sent only guarantees we will read your query letter and bio, not acceptance.


• If you receive a rejection e-mail, it will be a very polite one filled with encouragement and a few hints for improvement.


• If you receive an acceptance letter, it will ask for a one to three page synopsis and cover art (if you have it).

Then: 

• Send us the one to three page synopsis and cover art (if you have it).


• You will receive an e-mail from us within seven business days. 


• If we decide to go to the next step, you will be asked to pay an additional fee of three dollars ($3) as a submission fee.


• You will also be asked to e-mail your entire manuscript for a first reading.

Then: 

• You may be asked to do further editing.  (You can do this yourself.  We will provide some - limited - guidance.)


• You will be asked for cover art if it has not been previously submitted.  (Ditto.)

When this is accomplished, we publish.   You will earn money with your first book sale.  This is explained in the "Author's Compensation" section of the submission packet.  A note of caution:  Again, we are not a vanity press.  We do not accept every author.  We will not accept work that is not print worthy.
